A Prayer for Ukraine:
God of peace and justice, we pray for the people of Ukraine today. We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons. We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow, that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them. We pray for those with power over war or peace, for wisdom, discernment, and compassion to guide their decisions. Above all we pray for your precious children, that you would hold and protect them. We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace, Amen (Archbishop Justin Welby)
In our prayers this week let us give thanks for our many blessings, and continue to pray for our neighbours, friends and family.
Let us continue to pray for the post-flood restoration work in BC, NWT, and Northern Alberta and particularly for the ministry of Christ Church, Hope, B.C. and St. Andrew’s, Hay River, NWT
May we remain mindful of the struggles and the conflicts in our own country and pray for wisdom in resolving them.
Let us also intentionally uphold in prayer the various crises in our world, that the Lord would redeem our brokenness through His love and bring healing to our world.
