“When I stand before God at the end of my life,

I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left,

and could say, ‘I used everything you gave me.’ ”
― Erma Bombeck

Dear Friends

We hope you can join us in worship for Holy Eucharist, BAS format, at 10:30 am this Sunday. Rev Haydn will be celebrating.  If you feel unwell or are uncomfortable coming to church, please request the Zoom option by calling a warden. For the months of July and August, Zoom coverage will be available as requested.

Please remember in your prayers:

– the clergy and parishioners of our Diocese over the summer months, for safe travels, and refreshment and rest;

– those who are sick, suffering, fearful or in need, remembering those suffering from COVID-19 and their caregivers, those feeling isolated and those who are vulnerable;

– for peace within our country, and in the world, remembering the country of Ukraine, areas of unrest and riots, and asking for wise discernment in our leaders;

– those who have died and those who mourn;

– the victims of violence and natural disasters;

– our Indigenous brothers and sisters, especially remembering their hurt and grief at this time;

– refugees, remembering those fleeing the Taliban regime, and those fleeing war in the Ukraine.

– Nicole and Alex who are being married this Saturday at St Benedicts.

Prayer for Peace:

Oh God, it is your will to hold both heaven and earth in a single peace.

Let the design of your great love shine on the waste of our wraths and sorrows,

and give peace to your Church, peace among nations,

peace in our homes, and peace in our hearts;

through your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen (BAS pg 677)

The good news is there is nothing we can do

that is bad enough to keep us out of Heaven;

the bad news is there is nothing we can do

good enough to get us into Heaven.
