When we celebrate the Lord’s Supper,
we remember the One who was sent by the Father into this world,
and we do so by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Christianity is inherently Trinitarian.
Remove the loving Father – fount of salvation,
the redeeming Son- sacrifice for sins,
and the indwelling Spirit- Comforter and Advocate,
and you have nothing left but ritual and rule
– another less-than-unique religious system..

A Prayer for Ukraine:
God of peace and justice, we pray for the people of Ukraine today. We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons. We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow, that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them. We pray for those with power over war or peace, for wisdom, discernment, and compassion to guide their decisions. Above all we pray for your precious children, that you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace, Amen (Archbishop Justin Welby)
We intentionally uphold in prayer the various crises in our world, that the Lord would redeem our brokenness through His love and bring healing to our world. May we remain mindful of the struggles and the conflicts in our own country and pray for wisdom in resolving them.
Let us continue to pray for the post-flood restoration work in BC and particularly for the ministry of Christ Church, Hope, B.C, and also in Hay River, Northwest Territories.
In our prayers this week let us give thanks for our many blessings, and continue to pray for our neighbours, friends and family.
